Sending you warm wishes, here in this transitory time between Calendar New Year and Lunar New Year. May this transition usher in a year of softness, abundance and wellness for all of you.

We are writing today with an invite to our final Branching Roots Moon Gathering, as well as sharings on happenings In The Community.

Wishing you all good things for 2023, and for the Year of the Rabbit.


Hello, all! Our final New Moon Gathering will take place on Saturday, January 21st, from 2-3:30pm EST. For this last session together, we will be leaning into Gratitude, New Beginnings and Presence. We invite you to come with a cup of tea, and gather with us over Zoom one last time as we find together what this New Moon holds for us. Participation is free and welcome to all. Jan 22 — Year of the Rabbit Celebrations: Meet the God of Wealth and Paint a Lucky Rabbit!

On Sunday, January 22nd, come by the Chinatown Storytelling Centre between 11am-3pm for a family-friendly celebration to ring in the year of the Water Rabbit! Paint your own lucky rabbit to take home and meet the spectacular God of Wealth (caishen) who will be sharing blessings and passing out treats. This event is all ages, free and drop-in only (no tickets required).

On this special day, Chinatown Storytelling Centre is offering entry by donation to their exhibit space.

Jan 23rd – Echo: 13 Songs for 13 Moons @ Container Brewing

Collaborator Kelsi James is sharing an evening of original music on Monday, January 23rd from 7:30-8:30pm at Container Brewing (1216 Franklin St, Vancouver). Kelsi shares, “I’m playing songs I’ve accumulated since 2019, in honour of the years behind, and those still to come. Lots of wondering and yearning and gently moving through thoughts (and Jill Goranson is singing! And Holly Lam is playing the violin!)."
