TvT Interlink Artist Exchange

hosted by The Dance Centre project

August 25 - September 6

International Artistic Exchange continues with TvT Interlink, bringing together Canadian artists Heidi Strauss, Michael Caldwell, Caroline Chien-MacCaull, Sammy Chien-MacCaull, and Andrea Nann and Taiwanese artists Su PinWen, WuKang Chen, and Fangas Nayaw, with producer Wen Huang. Since 2020, two groups of artists in Toronto and Taipei have been deeply immersed in the Toronto/Taipei: International Choreographic Interlink, a long-term artistic exchange. In August 2024 the group initiated TvT: Interlink adding artist exchange time in Vancouver, co-hosted by Dreamwalker Dance with Chimerik 似不像 for a series of West Coast artist visits, studio tours, meals, and community gatherings for our Taiwanese guests.

TvT: Interlink regroups in Vancouver from August 25 - September 6, 2025.  Across diverse geographies and long distances, they are practicing actions of reciprocity and connection; generating opportunities for embodied relational exchange and shared community experiences.

On September 5-6, 2025 TvT Interlink culminates in a two-day symposium, presented in partnership between The Dance Centre and the Vancouver Art Gallery. The symposium brings together artists, curators and producers to reflect on the evolving intersections of choreography, cultural exchange and transnational collaboration, with panels, workshops and work-in-progress showings.

Presenting artists include Michael Caldwell, Wu-Kang Chen, Caroline Chien-MacCaull, Sammy Chien-MacCaull 簡上翔, Wen Huang, Andrea Nann, Fangas Nayaw, Heidi Strauss and 蘇品文 Su PinWen.

Symposium

It is our intent that everyone feels invited, wanted, and welcomed to participate in our events and activities. We continue to do the work to listen, learn, unlearn, and relearn in response to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission Calls to Action, in response to the Black Lives Matter Movement, and in recognition of all past and present atrocities, persecution and mistreatment of people based on their ethnicity, culture, place of origin, race, ancestry, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, physical appearance, and/or (dis)ability.   We stand in solidarity with all who are facing or have faced persecution or discrimination, and are working to create a supportive, safe and equitable world.

We are honoured to live, work and create in Toronto/Tkaronto on Dish With One Spoon Indigenous Territory and acknowledge the Land as Traditional Territory of many Nations including the Haudenosaunee, the Anishnabeg, the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Chippewa, and the Wendat Peoples.
